Natural Deodorant for Sensitive Skin: Myth or Reality?

Natural Deodorant for Sensitive Skin: Myth or Reality?

Have sensitive skin but want to use natural deodorant? Trying to avoid aluminum in your personal care items?

If you have ever tried natural deodorant but ended up with itchy, red armpits, you may have a sensitivity to baking soda. But don't give up- there are natural and organic deodorants without baking soda out there that really work! The secret ingredient? Magnesium. Here are a few things to note about natural and organic deodorant with Magnesium for sensitive skin.

Organic and natural deodorants with magnesium are not anti-perspirants, so you will perspire. Perspiring is our body’s natural way of ridding itself of toxins, and blocking those toxins within the body is not optimal for long-term health. It is NORMAL to sweat. Seriously. Every body does it.

It is typical for the body to “detox” when first switching over from an aluminum based anti-perspirant to any natural deodorant. What does this mean, really? It means you may experience excess perspiration, you may be stinkier than normal, and it can last a week or more. This is also NORMAL, so hang in there!

Your body will purge itself of the aluminum and synthetic chemicals (like parabens and artificial fragrances) that could be clogging your pores, hence the detox.

Hey, don’t shoot the messenger. I’m just speak the truth.

Natural deodorant with magnesium is completely safe to use before, during, and after both chemo and radiation. This is great news for folx who suffer from hyper-sensitive skin while undergoing this intensely trying treatment.

We recommend our LB Love Organics organic natural deodorant for anyone who has tried natural deodorant before and ended up with itchy, red armpits.  Our magnesium and probiotic formula is excellent for those of us with sensitive skin and can’t tolerate the sodium bicarbonate (that’s baking soda, to us Americans). It is effective, gentle, glides on easily, and smells fantastic.

How about you? Have you tried a natural or organic deodorant?
