Q: I have tried natural deodorant before. Why did I break out in an itchy rash?
A: Many natural deodorants contain baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), which is a great ingredient for neutralizing body odor because of its alkaline pH. Unfortunately, some formulations use an amount that can lead to an itchy, red rash when combined with perspiration.
Q: How is LB Love Organics’ natural deodorant different than other brands I have tried?
A: LB Love Organics’ natural deodorant is different than many other brands because we use magnesium hydroxide as our stink-fighting ingredient. Magnesium hydroxide is a naturally occurring compound that does not adversely alter the body’s pH when combined with perspiration.
Q: How long will it take for my body to get used to natural deodorant?
A: Every body is different, but most people experience a 1-2 week “detox” period. It is typical to experience excess perspiration during your transition to a natural deodorant. Your perspiration may be thicker than normal, + you may even be stinkier than normal. Hang in there! It is your body purging itself of the aluminum + synthetic chemicals like parabens + artificial fragrances that are clogging your pores.
Q: Will natural deodorant keep me from sweating?
A: This is not an anti-perspirant, so you will perspire. Perspiring is our body’s way of ridding itself of toxins, and blocking those toxins within the body is not optimal for long-term health.
Q: Can I use LB Love Organics’ natural deodorant during chemotherapy and/or radiation?
A: Yes! For those with compromised immune systems or very sensitive skin, we have an Unscented option.
